The Westport Occasional Chair brings the relaxed refinement of a coastal home together with the reassuring comfort of a generously cushioned armchair. Its exposed solid timber frame and beautifully shaped oakwood arms lend warmth and character, while the softly textured linen and cotton blend upholstery keeps the look understated and inviting. High-density foam, fibre and duck feather cushioning creates a comfortable seat with a softer, more relaxed feel than foam alone. Designed for the Blackwood Boathouse collection, Westport is a timeless chair made for slow mornings, evening reading and years of everyday living.

Frequent Queries

Is the Westport Occasional Chair suitable for everyday use?
Yes. Its solid wood frame and high-density foam cushioning are designed to provide dependable support, while the addition of fibre and duck feather gives the seat a softer, more comfortable finish.

How should I care for the upholstery?
Regularly vacuum the fabric using a soft upholstery attachment and attend to spills promptly by gently blotting rather than rubbing. The seat cushion cover is removable, but we recommend following the supplied care instructions rather than automatically machine washing it.

Will the timber look exactly like the photographs?
Natural timber will show variations in grain, tone and markings from chair to chair. These differences are part of the character of genuine wood and mean each Westport Occasional Chair will have its own subtly individual finish.
