Prices
All prices on this website are stated in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and are inclusive of the 15% Goods & Services Tax (GST). Orders will be processed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) only, we do not accept payments in other currencies.
All prices and shipping rates displayed on this website are accurate and current at the time of purchase. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure consistency across external platforms, prices or shipping information displayed on Google, social media, marketplaces, or any other third-party platform may occasionally be incorrect or outdated.
In the event of any discrepancy, the prices and shipping rates shown on this website at the time of purchase shall take precedence and will be deemed the correct and binding amounts.
If you live outside New Zealand, and have a foreign currency credit card, the New Zealand dollar amount will be charged to your card using your provider's current exchange rates. Please remember that buy/sell exchange rates can be different depending on when your credit card provider processes the transaction, so the amount that appears on your credit card statement may be slightly different to the converted invoiced amount. Credit card companies may also charge international payment fees and/or commission for selling you foreign currency. Please contact your credit card provider directly for their terms and conditions.
Blackwood Living reserves the right to change prices of goods advertised on this website, without notice. Orders will not be despatched until payment is received in full. All goods remain the property of Blackwood Living until full payment is received.
Colours
Reproduction of colours is as accurate as photographic processes allow, but please note colours instore may vary slightly from what is displayed on your monitor.
Promotions and Discounts
All promotions & discount codes are issued at the discretion of Blackwood Living. We reserve the right to cancel any order which has unauthorised use of a discount code. Promotional offer & discount codes can only be used once per customer per promotion, unless specified. Promotional offer & discount codes will not be extended beyond the specified end date.
Product Availability
Due to popularity or interruption of supply some items may be unavailable or out of stock. While we aim to ensure that information on this website is correct, sometimes errors do occur for which we apologise. Some items may require self assembly. It may be necessary to make changes to product specifications. We reserve the right to make these changes at any time and without notice.
Refund, Returns and Exchanges Policy
Homeware items may be returned within 30 days of purchase for a store credit. To be eligible for a return, items must be unused, in original condition, and in their original packaging.
Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs. We recommend using a tracked service, as Blackwood Living is not liable for items lost or damaged in transit.
Please note that furniture items are not eligible for return under this policy.
Items brought on sale are not able to be returned or exchanged.
Made to order products are made to your unique requirements and cannot be cancelled after deposit has been paid.
Imported products & Special orders are ordered in especially for you and cannot be cancelled after the deposit has been paid.
Our vintage products are not sold as new and therefore do not have the same warranty attached to them as other goods. Please ask before buying if you are unsure of any aspect of the product.
All purchases are subject to the Fair Trading Act 1986 and the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
At Blackwood Living, we stand behind the quality of our products and want you to feel confident in your purchase.
Furniture Warranty
We offer a 12-month warranty on all furniture, covering structural integrity and manufacturing defects under normal residential use. This includes faults in the frame, joints, and workmanship.
This warranty does not cover:
- General wear and tear
- Fabric wear, pilling, or fading
- Damage caused by misuse, improper care, or accidents
- Commercial or non-residential use
Homewares
Homeware items are not covered by a warranty but are protected under your rights as a consumer in New Zealand.
Consumer Guarantees Act (NZ)
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA). If a product fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund as provided by New Zealand law.
Making a Warranty Claim
If you believe your item has a fault covered under warranty, please contact us with:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photos of the product and fault
We will assess the claim and, where applicable, arrange a repair, replacement, or suitable resolution.
Important Notes
- All claims are assessed on a case-by-case basis
- Natural variations in materials (such as timber grain, colour tone, or texture) are not considered faults
- Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims
Gift Card Terms & Conditions
Blackwood Living gift cards are issued in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and are redeemable for merchandise only at Blackwood Living. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash, refundable, or transferable, except where required by New Zealand law.
Gift cards must be treated like cash. Lost, stolen, or damaged gift cards will not be replaced or refunded. No change will be given for any unused balance; however, any remaining balance may be applied to future purchases until the card balance reaches zero.
Gift cards are valid for a period of 36 months from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated. After the expiry date, any unused balance will be forfeited.
Blackwood Living reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time, in accordance with applicable laws.
Store Credit & Rewards – Terms of Use
Store credit issued by Blackwood Living, including any promotional offers such as “% back” on purchases, is intended for personal, non-commercial use only.
Store credit is non-transferable, not redeemable for cash, and may only be used by the customer account to which it was issued, unless required otherwise by applicable New Zealand law. Store credit must not be sold, exchanged, or transferred to another person or account.
Blackwood Living may take reasonable steps to identify and prevent fraudulent or abusive use of store credit. This includes activity such as creating multiple accounts to obtain additional credit, attempting to transfer or consolidate store credit between accounts, or any conduct that is intended to manipulate or unfairly exploit promotional offers.
If we reasonably believe that store credit has been obtained or used in breach of these Terms, we may:
- Decline or cancel the application of store credit to an order;
- Reverse or remove store credit that has been improperly obtained; and/or
- Suspend or restrict the relevant account(s) while the matter is reviewed.
We will act reasonably and in good faith when exercising these rights and will not limit or exclude any rights you may have under New Zealand consumer law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986.
Shop credit earned from purchases is valid for 90 days from the date of issue, after which any unused balance will expire.
By using store credit, you agree to these Terms.
