The Sika® Originals Lulu Rattan Side Chair brings the easy character of a classic European bistro chair into a warm, natural form suited to relaxed New Zealand interiors. Handcrafted from sustainably sourced Indonesian rattan, its gently curved frame, woven seat and traditional bindings give the chair an honest, tactile quality that feels established rather than decorative. Inspired by mid-century designs from the 1950s and 1960s, the Lulu balances lightness with strength, making it a practical dining chair with enduring appeal. The antique rattan finish sits naturally within plantation, coastal and heritage-inspired homes, particularly alongside timber dining tables and other natural materials.

Frequent Queries
Will each Lulu chair look exactly the same?
No. Natural rattan varies slightly in colour, grain and texture, so subtle differences between chairs are expected and form part of their authentic character.
Is rattan durable enough for regular dining use?
Yes. Rattan is a solid, naturally strong material and, when properly cared for, is well suited to regular indoor dining use.
How should I care for the rattan?
Dust regularly with a soft cloth or brush and wipe gently with a lightly damp cloth when needed. Avoid prolonged moisture, harsh cleaners and strong direct sunlight to help preserve the natural fibres and antique finish.
